Paul Reed SmithMcCarty Archtop II
Custom Ordered Configuration(1998)
(Photos courtesy of briansguitars.com)
This guitar was custom ordered by an employee at a CT Guitar shop that had tremendous PRS volume in the late 1990's. Some of the distinguishing features are: Tiger's Eye finish, double 10 top and back, abalone bird inlays, gold hardware, brown quilt top and back and rosewood fretboard. This was early stages when premier dealers could visit the factory and choose their woods as this fellow did. This Tiger's Eye Brown finish was rare at the time and only available on Private Stock and Archtop "Artist" versions. This rare configuration on this fully hollow archtop guitar is a real opportunity to get a fabulous PRS at an affordable price.
