1966 Fender Precision Bass

Imagine James Jameson laying down the the back beat to a Motown classic or Duck Dunn thumping the backdrop to Steve Croppers twangin' R&B with Booker T. The true MOJO of a sixties Fender P Bass is not just classic, but legendary. This baby has all the tone and battle scars to prove it.
Lots of wear and mojo in this 1960's Fender Precision Bass. Neckplate dates '66, Headstock decal dates same era. Neck, unusually so, but not unheard of, has no date stamp. Pots are old, but centralab brand which is better known on Gibson and other non-Fender brands, wiring and pickups also appear replaced from original. Bad Ass II Bridge offered superior tone from original.
Black body paint has period correct markings such as neck pocket stick tack holes and placement, "ES" imprinted in middle of body under the guard. There is some bare wood "staining" where lacquer is worn through. No evidence of "undercoat". Finish originality uconfirmed. Finish checking on neck headstock. Origianl bridge and bridge cover imprints and screw holes very evident. Pick up covers missing, but crew holes in pick guard and body. Pickguard and under sheilding typical of period wear and shrinkage.
Non-original molded Fender case.
Priced at significant discount from all original models. Have a '60s PBass for a fraction of the cost.
